Students also learn to recognize the warning signs of heart attack and stroke in adults and breathing difficulties in children.

The Heartsaver AED Course

The Heartsaver AED Course was the first in the nation to combine hands-on AED instruction with adult CPR training. This course is for people who need to learn CPR and how to operate an AED. A pediatric CPR module can be added at the customer's request.

The Heartsaver AED With Pediatric CPR Course

The Heartsaver AED With Pediatric CPR Course teaches the basic techniques of adult CPR and how to use an AED. Child and infant CPR skills may be taught if students live or work in a setting where children are present. Students also learn to use barrier devices in CPR and to give first aid for choking for responsive adult, child and infant victims. The course teaches how to recognize the signs of four major medical emergencies: heart attack, stroke, cardiac arrest and choking.

The Heartsaver First Aid Course

The Heartsaver First Aid Course includes essential information and training in the first-aid skills recommended by OSHA, all in a format that can be delivered in a single day. The course is modular to meet the needs of a specific workplace or group of employees. The core module is comprised of general principles, medical emergencies and injury emergencies.

The Heartsaver CPR in Schools Course

The Heartsaver CPR in Schools Course teaches both adult and pediatric lay rescuer CPR to middle school or high school students. The course presents information about the American Heart Association adult and pediatric Chain of Survival and signs of heart attack, cardiac arrest, stroke and choking in adults.
